Shirley Poppies, Papaver rhoeas, are very easy to grow, and will happily set seed to come back subsequent years.
Amazing Grey Shirley Poppies are breathtaking, a stunning mix of purple grey blooms. Each plant produces a blend of different hues, that all meld together for the most unexpected bouquet you'll ever grow.
Planting conditions: Not too picky, tolerant of a variety of soil types, and happiest in full sun.
Care: Once they are happy and established in your garden, Poppies are drought-tolerant, but will bloom more with more water. They do not like to be transplanted, so take care not to disturb the roots too much.
Blooms: For six weeks in mid-Summer. Deadhead (pick flowers and cut off spent blooms) regularly.
Self-seeding annual: Shirley Poppies are annuals, meaning they die over the winter, but they self-seed so they will naturally come back the following year in your garden.
Ships: In the Spring, as 3 plants in 2" diameter pots.
