Sweet Peas are cheerful and incredibly fragrant, and produce tons of the sweetest little blooms that will liven and perfume your house. The old-fashioned charm of these flowers is amplified by the unique varieties we have sourced.
We love the two-tone color of the North Shore Sweet Peas, with a vibrant purple off set by a lavender petal.
Planting conditions: Sweet Peas grow deep roots, so they do best planted somewhere with good soil that drains well. The plants like the sun, but the roots want to stay moist and cool, so plant some other low-growing flowers, like pansies, in front to help shade the roots. Needs a trellis to grow on, about 5' tall.
Sun: Full-sun to part-shade.
Blooms: Mid-Spring through early Summer. Harvesting the flowers regularly will encourage more blooms.
Annual: Sweet Peas need to be re-planted each Spring.
Deer Resistant, and poisonous to humans if ingested.
Ships: Beginning in the Spring, five plants, each in a 1.5" diameter pot, 2.75" deep.
