Dahlia are towering beauties of the Summer garden, coming into bloom around mid-Summer to steal the show with a stunning array of colors and shapes.
Hi there, Bristol Stripe Dahlia with your fanciful stripes. These enormous flowers, which can trend more pink or more purple depending on her whim, are called dinnerplate Dahlias because the blooms get to be 8" wide!
Planting conditions: Not too picky, tolerant of a variety of soil types, and happiest in full sun.
Care: Once they are happy and established in your garden, they are drought-tolerant, but will bloom more with more water.
Blooms: Mid-Late Summer through first frost. Deadhead the blooms regularly (meaning cut the flowers for bouquets, or if the flowers die on the plant cut them off) to encourage more blooms.
Tender Perennial: In zones 8-11 Dahlia will survive the Winter, Annual in zones 3-7. In zones that get winter freezing, you can dig up and store the Dahlia tubers in order to re-plant it the following Spring.
Ships: as a set of 5 tubers in the Spring. Each tuber will create its own plant with tons of blooms.
Flat rate $10 shipping no matter how many plants you buy.
