Negrita Parrot Tulips are dubiously named, but have a moody dark burgundy color with scalloped edges that open up and fade into a lighter purple as it ages. Parrot tulips have such a sculptural artistic look to them, they really stand out in the Spring garden.
Tulip petals are edible, and make a pretty garnish for beverages and salads.
