Frittilaria Meleagris is also called Snakes Head because of the snake-like pattern on the petals. The colors range from a deep burgundy to a dark pink, set off by a few white blooms. The dark palette and downward facing blooms are a moody accent to the cheerful Spring blooms we typically see in April and May.
Frittilaria grow from bulbs, and will spread, or 'naturalize,' if they're happy.
