Time to re-think China Asters, Callistephus chinensis, a staple of primary colored Autumn grocery store bouquets.
Tower Violet Aster is a vibrant pinkish-purple (a.k.a. violet?) that will give you armloads of blooms.
Care: Once they are happy and established in your garden, they are drought-tolerant, but will bloom more with more water. Deer resistant.
Blooms: Mid-Late Summer through first frost. Deadhead the blooms regularly (meaning cut the flowers for bouquets, or if the flowers die on the plant cut them off) to encourage more blooms.
Self-seeding annual: Asters will die in the winter but may self-seed and come back in your garden naturally.
Ships: as 3 plants in 3" diameter pots, in the Spring.
Flat rate $10 shipping no matter how many plants you buy.
We give your plants plenty of (recyclable) padding so they are cozy and safe during transit. We also monitor weather events and will contact you if unusual weather will impact your order's ship date.
If anything is not right about your plant when you receive it, please let us know and we will make it right.
