How to Plant Dig a hole and tuck your bulb in, pointy side up, about 3" deep. Now give your bulb a good wish, a few solid pats to compress the soil around it, and a long drink of water
Where to Plant Find a place that gets at least partial sun, and space bulbs about 4" apart
When to Plant Plant in the fall, within 3 days of receiving them
When to Expect Blooms Fall. It may take a full year to blooms. You may only grow foliage the first year
Care Instructions There's really no care involved. Enjoy the blooms?
Extra Credit Wait for the foliage to wilt and turn yellow before clipping it back, so that the bulb can preserve energy for the next year's blooms

  • Are saffron crocus subject to damage by deer?

    Hi there! Deer are known to eat crocus, but rarely. They generally stay away from anything with strong scents and smells, but nothing is 100% safe!

  • Can saffron be grown indoors? I love in Colorado. The growing season is very limited here

    Hi there! You certainly can grow saffron indoors! They smell wonderful, so they would be lovely to enjoy spring scents in the winter months!
